Pastel To Xero- Take These Shackles Off My Feet So I Can Finance
I’ve used Pastel, my entire professional career and consider myself pretty experienced on the package. However, my life changed the day SYNAQ moved off Pastel onto the Xero platform. The shackles of financial systems gatekeeper were finally lifted and replaced with empowerment and efficiency across our team.
While Yossi explained Xero’s system benefits in our last blog, I’ve experienced the true impact of these benefits in my daily output and ability to contribute to a growing business. So let me explain how Xero has improved my work life;

With Xero, our Directors and managers are able to pull reports from the system at anytime and from any location without my assistance. Allowing me to concentrate on tasks with fewer interruptions.

Xero is an online-hosted finance solution with cross platform and multi device connectivity geared towards improving output productivity. Simply put, I don’t have to be chained to my desk in the office to be productive.
I’m as productive offsite as I am in the office and on some days I’m probably a little more productive out of the office without any distractions to focus on urgent business requirements.
- 4. Easier Reconciliation And Journal Entries
One of Xero’s best features is its ability to automatically import statements into our business bank account, which makes bank reconciliation so much easier than through other systems.
Another fabulous feature is Xero’s ability to remember journal entries, which reduces the time consuming task of repeatedly entering journal descriptions descriptions.
- 5. Automated Dashboard And Easier Reporting
Real-time graphs and reports are available through the system. I’m able to report quickly and almost effortlessly without having to wait for batch updates or spend time creating dashboard graphs to represent financial information.
And with the simplicity of integrating API’s into Xero I can really spice up my reporting to meet our business requirements through 3rd party applications.
- 6. Budget Tracking And Financial Statements
Xero’s system generated financial statements is very convenient during audit period and requires minimal effort from me.
Further, reporting on budget expenses has become a breeze on Xero with its budget-tracking feature. This nifty feature allows me to input a budget and track expenses against the budget so reporting is instant and readily available without me having to manually input information.
- 7. No Consultants. No System Issues
Finally, I don’t need to book consultants to assist with problems or year-end procedures because the system just works. It works quickly, quietly and easily.
I’m HOOKED! Xero is a great system that allows me to do what I need to do in order for the business to benefit from my skills. Another great cloud solution that keeps our business ticking.
